Question 110: About ISIS

Posted on: January 22, 2015

Question 110: Can you analyze ISIS from the point of view of oneness?

Yes, let’s start with what the Gospel of Oneness stands for, namely unconditional love for everyone, cooperation for the benefit of everyone, sharing of resources for the benefit of everyone, respect for all life, respect for all viewpoints, joy in living, equality of souls, no violence against others, free thinking, free speech and awareness of the dualistic traps of this world.

So let’s see how ISIS measures up. They are trying to force their will on their self-created enemies. They try to eliminate people who have different viewpoints about life. They even try to force the Infinite One into their mental box by saying that Allah supports their violence against other expressions of the One Creator God.

ISIS is acting as a dualistic force fighting for a relative goal of establishing an Islamic state. Their actions carry the seeds of their own destruction because they will reap what they have sown. Other dualistic forces have already and will rise up against them. Nobody really wins but a lot of people suffer needlessly, all for an illusory goal that can never be achieved by violence. The only ones who might temporarily benefit are the merchants of weapons and warfare.

The only way they can even come close to realizing their goals is to work for the benefit of all mankind in a peaceful way with service and love to all, and if they did that they might then adjust their goals to the reality of the oneness of all life.
